Reading data linked to the time code of related television episodes, the sync engine is the center of communication, keeping every player's computer in perfect sync via our proprietary system. As events play out on-air, they play out online across multiple devices with frame accuracy.
Spiderdance's unique communication model keeps users in sync regardless of their connection speed -- a 28.8K modem user gets the same quality experience as someone on a T-1.
Real-world Solution
Spiderdance invented the concept of Sync-to-BroadcastTM convergence as a real-world solution for implementing interactive TV on a wide-scale basis today. As set-top boxes, smart TVs and wireless devices become viable interactive TV platforms, Spiderdance's back-end server system is capable of talking to them through standard Internet protocol. This flexibility allows Spiderdance's system to grow more valuable and provide a broader range of services as new devices and technologies enter the marketplace.
